Double salary for TCS, Wipro & Infosys Employees

For many years, the Indian IT industry has fixed a mindset for the salary increase based on annual appraisal system along with annual performance audit. The boss would give his comments or feedback about that employee in annual appraisal system. But now, things are rapidly changing. The role of an immediate manager in appraisal in diminishing and the skills quotient is increasing.
In this attempt, Infosys has announced an upskill program to double the salary. TCS has also running the same type of program since this year. Wipro has also launched the same this year.
Employees who have an experience of more than 3years in Infosys, can double their salary with an unique upskill program called as Bridge program. Young employees are trained on latest and cutting edge technology. They are tested and based on scores, when they get high scores, their salary can increase or even doubled.Around 400 employees have seen a hike in salary of about 40-120% after completing this Bridge program.
But why these after three years?
Three years is the time period when most of the junior employees look out for job change. Infosys has done this to  reduce attrition rate.
Logically, if an employee enters the company with a base salary of 3.5 lakh per annum, after 3 years, he gets 4.5 lakhs after 10% increment. When he finishes bridge program successfully, his salary gets doubled. He will not leave the company.
Infosys conducts high level programming tests like hackathon, full stack development and tech architecture. Wipro conducts turbo tests and coding challenges. TCS concentrates on machine learning, AI and big data.
